Black-and-white comic-style illustration titled Figurative Language Activity at the Candy Store. A smiling girl with a backpack rests her chin on her hand at a counter, gazing at a huge glass jar of hard candies glowing in the sun. Shelves of candy jars, lollipops, and signs reading "Sweet things brighter day's" and "Candy spreads happiness" fill the shop. Caption: the sun shone through the jar of hard candies like a stained glass window.
